La Iglesia Adventista del S\u00e9ptimo D\u00eda en Cuba celebr\u00f3 un progreso m\u00e1s en un acto especial el 17 de enero de 2009 con la graduaci\u00f3n de 15 de sus ministros que completaron grados de maestr\u00eda en Teolog\u00eda Pastoral. El grado, conferido por el Seminario Teol\u00f3gico de la Divisi\u00f3n Interamericana (IATS), Recinto de la Habana, Cuba, marca un progreso notable para la iglesia en la isla, dijeron los l\u00edderes de la iglesia. <\/p>\n

\u00abEsta es una Victoria para la iglesia, para nuestra divisi\u00f3n\u00bb, dijo Jaime Castrej\u00f3n, Ph.D., presidente de de IATS. \u00abNunca antes hab\u00edamos graduado ministros a ese nivel en Teolog\u00eda Pastoral en Cuba. Y estamos complacidos de que el Se\u00f1or lo vio cristalizado para nuestros pastores all\u00e1\u00bb. <\/p>\n

Conllev\u00f3 dedicados esfuerzos de parte de los administradores IATS y la DIA para apoyar el tipo de curr\u00edculo para el nivel graduado para pastores en el caso de Cuba, dijo el doctor Castrej\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

\u00abSe dieron tiempos dif\u00edciles para conseguir maestros que pudieran viajar a la isla y que no fueran afectados por la situaci\u00f3n. Le agradecemos a Dios, sin embargo, por haber tenido \u00e9xito en la contrataci\u00f3n de maestros para llenar los requerimientos del programa\u00bb. <\/p>\n

El Seminario Teol\u00f3gico Adventista en Cuba, que recibi\u00f3 total acreditaci\u00f3n de la Asociaci\u00f3n Certificadora Adventista para otorgar grados a nivel de bachillerato el a\u00f1o pasado, se convirti\u00f3 en el noveno recinto de IATS para educar, especialmente pastores, con grados de maestr\u00eda para servir a la creciente membres\u00eda en la isla. <\/p>\n

\u00abEste triunfo para la iglesia en Cuba significa que nuestros hermanos y hermanas en Cuba tienen pastores actualizados como el resto del territorio\u00bb, agreg\u00f3 el doctor Castrej\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

Tener pastores actualizados no es solamente el prop\u00f3sito de IATS. Su blanco es proveer pastores destacados, agreg\u00f3 Castrej\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

\u00abEl fin de la junta y la Divisi\u00f3n es proveer pastores destacados para retos especiales en el ministerio al servirle a una membres\u00eda sofisticada as\u00ed como servir en organizaciones como iglesias de universidades y colegios donde hay muchos profesionales\u00bb, explic\u00f3 el doctor Castrej\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

Ese objetivo y compromiso es dar a los pastores a trav\u00e9s de toda Cuba la oportunidad de adelantar sus estudios y beneficiar los miles de miembros de iglesia que adoran en 273 iglesias y congregaciones en la isla. <\/p>\n

Ya hay 35 pastores matriculados en el programa de maestr\u00eda en el Seminario en Cuba, el cual comenz\u00f3 el programa de cuatro semestres de verano hacia el grado. <\/p>\n
