{"id":11369,"date":"2009-05-12T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-05-12T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.81.217.108\/interamerica\/2009\/05\/profesor-adventista-de-cuba-recibe-grado-honorario-de-universidad-andrews\/"},"modified":"2017-06-02T09:05:57","modified_gmt":"2017-06-02T13:05:57","slug":"profesor-adventista-de-cuba-recibe-grado-honorario-de-universidad-andrews","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/interamerica.org\/es\/2009\/05\/profesor-adventista-de-cuba-recibe-grado-honorario-de-universidad-andrews\/","title":{"rendered":"Profesor adventista de Cuba recibe grado honorario de Universidad Andrews"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em >Berrien Springs, Michigan<\/em >&#8230; 12 de mayo, 2009 &#8211; [Efra\u00edn Vel\u00e1zquez\/Personal de DIA] <\/p>\n<p>Una dama adventista del s\u00e9ptimo d\u00eda de Cuba recibi\u00f3 el grado de <em >Doctor Honoris Causa en <\/em >Divinidad del Seminario Teol\u00f3gico Adventista en la Universidad Andrews durante los actos de graduaci\u00f3n de la instituci\u00f3n el 3 de mayo, 2009. <\/p>\n<p>Esther D\u00edaz Guerrero, anterior decano del Seminario Adventista en Havana, Cuba, fue la oradora principal para la ceremonia de graduaci\u00f3n y entre un pu\u00f1ado que fueron honrados por sus servicios y contribuciones en el trabajo de la iglesia adventista. <\/p>\n<p>D\u00edas fue reconocida por su servicio en Seminario Adventista de Cuba donde sirvi\u00f3 como decana por m\u00e1s de ocho a\u00f1os y por sus esfuerzos en favor de los problemas de la mujer en la iglesia. Fue miembro clave en la elaboraci\u00f3n del curr\u00edculo, vigorizando la parte acad\u00e9mica y recursos de biblioteca as\u00ed como asegurando la estabilidad financiera del seminario. Sus responsabilidades incluyeron profesora universitaria, capell\u00e1n y coordinadora de ministerios de la mujer. <\/p>\n<p>Comparti\u00f3 la inspiraci\u00f3n que ella recibi\u00f3 de la reina Esther que lucho contra todas las extra\u00f1ezas. <\/p>\n<p>\u00abNo estoy segura por qu\u00e9 el Se\u00f1\u00f3r inspir\u00f3 a mis padres para llamarme Esther, sin embargo, estoy segura que nac\u00ed con un prop\u00f3sito. De la misma forma que esa joven enfrent\u00f3 dificultades, yo he enfrentado mi porci\u00f3n de ellas. Vengo de la hermosa isla de Cuba, donde el Se\u00f1or me puso para liderar por 8 a\u00f1os la \u00fanica instituci\u00f3n adventista en el pa\u00eds, nunca me imagin\u00e9 que el Se\u00f1or me habr\u00eda guiado para un tiempo como este\u00bb, dijo el doctor D\u00edaz. <\/p>\n<p>La doctora D\u00edazs tuvo la oportunidad de entrar a un programa doctoral hace varios a\u00f1os, pero ella decidi\u00f3 darle la oportunidad a un ministro m\u00e1s joven y no logr\u00f3 su acariciado sue\u00f1o. <\/p>\n<p>Habl\u00f3 de las otras Esthers que a\u00fan viven en Cuba, que estudiaron en el Seminario Teol\u00f3gico de Cuba y sirve a la iglesia cuidando de iglesias, departamentos y otros puestos de liderato. D\u00edas ret\u00f3 a los graduandos a hacer todo con todo su poder al honrar a Dios en todo. <\/p>\n<p>\u00abEsta ma\u00f1ana celebramos el \u00e9xito que ustedes han obtenido y el Se\u00f1or me ha dado el privilegio de estar aqu\u00ed para compartir esos \u00e9xitos.
