Su muerte se debi\u00f3 a complicaciones de salud. Cumpl\u00eda 80 a\u00f1os de edad el 2 de diciembre pr\u00f3ximo. <\/p>\n<p>\u00abLa Divisi\u00f3n Interamericana ha tenido la bendici\u00f3n de contar con grandes l\u00edderes en el departamento de educaci\u00f3n\u00bb, dijo el pastor Israel Leito, presidente de la iglesia en Interam\u00e9rica. \u00abEl doctor Fletcher se distingui\u00f3 en que durante su desempe\u00f1o en el departamento se caracteriz\u00f3 por grandes adelantos en el \u00e1rea de la educaci\u00f3n. Fue quien empez\u00f3 el Seminario Teol\u00f3gico de la Divisi\u00f3n Interamericana\u00bb. <\/p>\n<p>\u00abSiempre estaremos en deuda con el doctor Fletcher por sus servicios a la juventud en la Divisi\u00f3n Interamericana\u00bb, dijo el pastor Israel Leito. \u00abNuestras oraciones son en favor de la familia Fletcher\u00bb. <\/p>\n<p>Lee Herbert Fletcher naci\u00f3 en Black River, Jamaica, el 2 de diciembre de 1929. Obtuvo su grado de Bachillerato del <em >Columbia Union College <\/em >y un grado de Maestr\u00eda en Teolog\u00eda Sistem\u00e1tica de la Universidad Andrews en 1960. <\/p>\n<p>El doctor Fletcher comenz\u00f3 sus m\u00e1s de 44 a\u00f1os de servicio a la iglesia como maestro y pastor de distrito en Jamaica del Oeste. Sirvi\u00f3 como director de j\u00f3venes y de educaci\u00f3n en la Uni\u00f3n de las Indias Occidentales, y m\u00e1s tarde sirvi\u00f3 como presidente de <em >West Indies College<\/em >, actual <em >North Caribbean University<\/em >, en Mandeville, Jamaica.
