Estas palabras, pronunciadas por Eglan Brooks, presidente de la Uni\u00f3n Asociaci\u00f3n Brit\u00e1nica (BUC), sentaron el tono de varias reuniones de di\u00e1logo, dando a conocer mejores pr\u00e1cticas y fortaleciendo a las iglesias de todo el Reino Unido e Irlanda.<\/p>\n<p>Del 21 al 27 de febrero, m\u00e1s de 130 participantes se reunieron en el Newbold College of Higher Education (NCHE) para orar, discutir, debatir y reflexionar en lo correspondiente a salvaguardar en espacios de \u00edndole religiosa. La cumbre se centr\u00f3 inicialmente en los fideicomisarios (viernes a domingo), para proseguir luego centrando su atenci\u00f3n en los dirigentes de los campos (lunes y martes) y eventualmente en la de los directores de departamento de las asociaciones y uniones (martes a jueves) de la Iglesia Adventista en Reino Unido e Irlanda.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>La teolog\u00eda de la protecci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Lee Carmichael inici\u00f3 la semana con el tema \u201cLa teolog\u00eda de la protecci\u00f3n: Un llamado a proteger al vulnerable\u201d. Los siguientes son algunos: S.T.E.P.I.N., cuyas siglas significan, en su traducci\u00f3n al espa\u00f1ol <strong>S<\/strong>ee (ver) la crisis; <strong>T<\/strong>ake (tomar) acci\u00f3n; <strong>E<\/strong>mbrace (recibir con brazos abiertos) al herido; <strong>P<\/strong>roclaim (proclamar) vida y esperanza;<strong> I<\/strong>nvolve (involucrar) a la comunidad;<strong> N<\/strong>urture (fomentar, promover) la sanidad. Otro acr\u00f3nimo que present\u00f3, fue: C.L.E.A.R., (cuyas siglas significan, en su traducci\u00f3n al espa\u00f1ol <strong>C<\/strong>onfront (confrontar) los asuntos con valor; <strong>L<\/strong>isten (escuchar) a las v\u00edctimas; <strong>E<\/strong>mpathise (empatizar) con la v\u00edctima; <strong>A<\/strong>ct (actuar) para proteger y prevenir; <strong>R<\/strong>estore (restaurar) la confianza y traer sanidad.<\/p>\n<div class=\"o-rich-text c-content-single__body\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Desaf\u00edos para los dirigentes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>David DeFoe, fundador de Imara Counselling Services y director de ministerios de relaciones de la Asociaci\u00f3n Allegheny East en los Estados Unidos, dijo que \u201cproteger una instituci\u00f3n a expensas de las personas a quienes sirve, no es protecci\u00f3n \u2014es corrupci\u00f3n\u201d. Su presentaci\u00f3n provey\u00f3 una plataforma desde la cual abordar el tema del desaf\u00edo del poder y la protecci\u00f3n, adem\u00e1s de otros temas complejos que ser\u00edan presentados durante el resto de la conferencia.<\/p>\n<p>Las presentaciones de los oradores de DRD Partnership, una firma consultiva de comunicaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica, provocaron conversaciones y discusiones provocativas sobre temas tales como liderazgo, crisis y obligaciones de las organizaciones.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de los oradores, la cumbre present\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n varias discusiones panel. Varias v\u00edctimas y sobrevivientes contaron sus historias personales. Estas historias dif\u00edciles y la realidad de las narraciones impusieron silencio en la sala y llenaron los ojos de l\u00e1grimas.<\/p>\n<p>Los directivos de la conferencia anunciaron que en los pr\u00f3ximos meses se tendr\u00e1 un nuevo lema: \u201c\u00a1Dilo. Esc\u00fachalo. Dilo. Detenlo!
