El Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo de la Conferencia General (CG) vot\u00f3 a favor de la elecci\u00f3n de Remmers, quien asumir\u00e1 sus nuevas responsabilidades de forma inmediata.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-sm lg:text-base text-start\">Remmers aporta a este cargo m\u00e1s de tres d\u00e9cadas de ministerio pastoral y liderazgo administrativo, tras haber prestado servicio a la Iglesia Adventista del S\u00e9ptimo D\u00eda a nivel de iglesia local, asociaci\u00f3n, uni\u00f3n y divisi\u00f3n. En la actualidad, ocupa el cargo de presidente de Adventist Media Ministries y preside los comit\u00e9s ejecutivos de Faith for Today, It Is Written, Voice of Prophecy, LifeTalk Radio y Jesus 101. Adem\u00e1s, Remmers ejerce como asesor de los Ministerios Ind\u00edgenas de la Divisi\u00f3n Norteamericana (NAD), que apoya y coordina el ministerio entre los pueblos ind\u00edgenas de toda la divisi\u00f3n. [Foto: Melvin Donadelle]<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4 id=\"a-ministry-rooted-in-pastoral-service\" class=\"text-xl font-sans text-start\"><strong class=\"bold\">Un ministerio arraigado en el servicio pastoral<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"text-sm lg:text-base text-start\">Remmers se incorpor\u00f3 al ministerio pastoral en 1989 en la Conferencia de Ohio, donde prest\u00f3 servicio en seis congregaciones repartidas por tres distritos pastorales. Posteriormente, ejerci\u00f3 como pastor principal de las iglesias adventistas del s\u00e9ptimo d\u00eda de Atholton y Hagerstown, y asumi\u00f3 responsabilidades administrativas tanto en la Conferencia de Illinois como en la de Chesapeake.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-sm lg:text-base text-start\">En 2011, Remmers fue electo presidente de la Conferencia de Chesapeake, cargo que ocup\u00f3 durante nueve a\u00f1os. Durante su mandato, ejerci\u00f3 su liderazgo sobre m\u00e1s de 16 000 miembros repartidos en 99 congregaciones, as\u00ed como sobre su equipo pastoral, sus centros educativos, sus docentes y otros ministerios. Su gesti\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n hizo hincapi\u00e9 en la misi\u00f3n mediante la fundaci\u00f3n de nuevas iglesias, iniciativas evangel\u00edsticas y viajes misioneros internacionales.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-sm lg:text-base text-start\">En 2021, Remmers asumi\u00f3 el cargo de secretario ejecutivo y director ministerial de la Uni\u00f3n de Columbia, donde colabor\u00f3 con las ocho conferencias de la uni\u00f3n y form\u00f3 parte de varios consejos de administraci\u00f3n institucionales.
