Les dirigeants d’\u00e9glise, le personnel enseignantainsi que les \u00e9tudiants ont assist\u00e9 \u00e0 l’inauguration du nouveau Centre deRecherche Ellen G. White, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 Adventiste Centram\u00e9ricaine\u00e0 Alajuela au Costa Rica, le 30 janvier dernier. L’\u00e9tablissement devient lepremier centre de recherche du genre pour l’Eglise Adventiste en Am\u00e9riqueCentrale et le troisi\u00e8me en Inter Am\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n

Les \u00e9tudiants, les professeurs et le publicauront acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des copies des \u00e9crits th\u00e9ologiques d’Ellen G. White (EGW), une des fondatrices de \u2018Eglise Adventiste du Septi\u00e8me jour, dans le centre de559 m2<\/sup > sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7u pour cela. Le b\u00e2timent comprend une biblioth\u00e8quede 745 livres en anglais et 246 en espagnol, en plus des manuscrits et deslettres \u00e9crites par EGW.<\/p>\n

Le centre poss\u00e8de la seule reproduction dansle monde de la salle d’\u00e9criture d’EGW. Il abrite \u00e9galement deux grandes sallesde classe, une qui pourra contenir 41 \u00e9tudiants et l’autre 36. Des doctorats etdes maitrises en th\u00e9ologie seront pr\u00e9par\u00e9s dans ces salles de classe. Il y aaussi un bureau, un petit mus\u00e9e, une salle d’accueil et une salle d’attente.<\/p>\n

Pasteur James Nix, directeur du White Estatebas\u00e9 \u00e0 Silver Spring dans le Maryland, \u00e9tait un des orateurs invit\u00e9spour ce programme d’inauguration. Il a parl\u00e9 des exp\u00e9riencesd’EGW et a invit\u00e9 ceux qui \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 en apprendre davantage sur sa vie gr\u00e2ceaux pr\u00e9cieuses informations disponibles dans le nouveau centre.<\/p>\n

Pasteur L\u00e9on B. Wellington, vice-pr\u00e9sident etcoordonnateur de l’Esprit de Proph\u00e9tie et des centres de recherche de l’\u00e9gliseAdventiste en Inter Am\u00e9rique, a parl\u00e9 du nouveau centre comme \u00e9tant l’undes meilleurs \u00e9tablissements du genre dans l’Inter Am\u00e9rique et dans le monde.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Le centre est pour la communaut\u00e9Adventiste et pour ceux qui d\u00e9cident d’apprendre plus au sujet de l’histoire denotre \u00e9glise, \u00bb a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 L\u00e9on Wellington.<\/p>\n

Alors que la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie du couper de ruban se d\u00e9roulait,James Nix a demand\u00e9 \u00e0 ceux qui \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sents d’inviter d’autres personnes \u00e0visiter le centre.<\/p>\n

Herminia Perla, pr\u00e9sident de l’Universit\u00e9Adventiste Centram\u00e9ricaine, a remerci\u00e9 la Division Inter Am\u00e9ricaine ainsique les quatre bureaux d’union en Am\u00e9rique Centrale pour leur soutien dans laconstruction du nouveau b\u00e2timent.<\/p>\n

Le Ellen G.White Estate est l’organisationofficielle cr\u00e9\u00e9e par Ellen G. White pour servir de gardien de ses \u00e9crits. Bas\u00e9 \u00e0la Conf\u00e9rence G\u00e9n\u00e9rale des Adventistes du Septi\u00e8me jour \u00e0 SilverSpring dans le maryland aux Etats Unis avec laquelle il travaille \u00e9troitement,le White Estate supervise les centres de recherche dans les universit\u00e9sAdventistes \u00e0 travers le monde.<\/p>\n
