La maladie, qui affecte les parties du cerveau qui contr\u00f4lent la r\u00e9flexion, le langage et la m\u00e9moire, peut diminuer consid\u00e9rablement la capacit\u00e9 d\u2019une personne d\u2019accomplir des t\u00e2ches quotidiennes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">Selon le <a href=\"https:\/\/lluh.org\/provider\/boling-warren\">Dr Warren Boling<\/a>, directeur du <a href=\"https:\/\/lluh.org\/neurosurgery\">d\u00e9partement de neurochirurgie<\/a> du <a href=\"http:\/\/lluh.org\/\">Centre de sant\u00e9 de Loma Linda<\/a>(LLUH pour <i>Loma Linda University Health<\/i>), bien que la cause demeure inconnue, les experts d\u00e9couvrent constamment des facteurs qui peuvent r\u00e9duire les risques de d\u00e9veloppement de la <a href=\"https:\/\/lluh.org\/conditions\/alzheimers-disease\">maladie d\u2019Alzheimer<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">\u00ab\u00a0Les facteurs de risque pointent en direction d\u2019une hausse des chances de d\u00e9velopper la maladie, et bien que certains de ces facteurs soient immuables, d\u2019autres sont davantage ma\u00eetrisables, comme l\u2019alimentation, l\u2019exercice et le sommeil.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">Dans le cadre du mois du sain vieillissement, le Dr Boling pr\u00e9sente cinq facteurs que les gens peuvent surveiller pour r\u00e9duire leurs risques de d\u00e9mence<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span lang=\"FR-CA\">L\u2019alimentation<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">L\u2019alimentation \u00e0 base de v\u00e9g\u00e9taux a \u00e9t\u00e9 li\u00e9e \u00e0 la pr\u00e9vention de la d\u00e9mence. Les experts encouragent la consommation de l\u00e9gumes \u00e0 feuilles vertes, de baies, de c\u00e9r\u00e9ales compl\u00e8tes, de l\u00e9gumineuses, de noix et d\u2019huile d\u2019olive. Les aliments qui ont des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s anti-inflammatoires et antioxydantes peuvent pr\u00e9venir la maladie et maintenir la sant\u00e9 du cerveau.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"FR-CA\">L\u2019exercice<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">Une bonne strat\u00e9gie d\u2019activit\u00e9 physique combine l\u2019exercice cardiovasculaire et l\u2019entra\u00eenement musculaire. Les d\u00e9butants peuvent commencer par des activit\u00e9s comme la marche, le yoga ou la natation. Les exercices d\u2019\u00e9quilibre sont \u00e9galement essentiels \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 c\u00e9r\u00e9brale. Les blessures \u00e0 la t\u00eate caus\u00e9es par des chutes ou des pertes d\u2019\u00e9quilibre peuvent augmenter les risques de maladie d\u2019Alzheimer ou d\u2019autres formes de d\u00e9mence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"FR-CA\">La d\u00e9pression et l\u2019isolement social<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">De nombreuses \u00e9tudes ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que l\u2019isolement social pouvait acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le d\u00e9clin cognitif et augmenter les risques de d\u00e9mence. Le sentiment de solitude peut augmenter la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 la d\u00e9t\u00e9rioration de la sant\u00e9 ainsi que les risques de d\u00e9mence vers la fin de la vie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>La cigarette<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">La cigarette peut augmenter de mani\u00e8re consid\u00e9rable les risques de d\u00e9veloppement de la maladie d\u2019Alzheimer. Elle augmente aussi les risques de probl\u00e8mes cardiaques, qui peuvent mener \u00e0 des AVC (accidents vasculaires c\u00e9r\u00e9braux), de petits saignements dans le cerveau, un autre facteur de risque de la d\u00e9mence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"FR-CA\">Le sommeil<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">Les \u00e9tudes sugg\u00e8rent que bien dormir la nuit pourrait avoir des effets consid\u00e9rables sur les cons\u00e9quences mentales du vieillissement. Le sommeil peut profiter \u00e0 l\u2019esprit et avoir une influence \u00e0 long terme sur les risques de d\u00e9clin cognitif avec le vieillissement.
