Miami, Florida, United States…[Libna Stevens/IAD]

Church leaders from around the world visited the Inter-American Division Headquarter Office in Miami, Florida, Sun., Jan. 11. A special program was provided for the President of the General Conference and his officers, along with world division presidents and their spouses who were in town after a week-long president’s meeting that took place in Miami Beach last week.

The program included a tour of the headquarter facilities, a mini-concert, presentation on the history of the division, its growing membership and strong financial position and an Inter-American style brunch.

Pastor Tony Avila, originally from Mexico, who pastors the Coral Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church in Florida, sang for the invited guests. He was followed by a report by Ramon H. Maury, IAD vice president, on the beginnings of the Inter-American territory, with Mario NiZo, Stewardship director, on the membership growth and its financial steadiness.

Leaders and staff then enjoyed a feast complete with traditional foods from Mexico, the Caribbean, Colombia and more.
