For the third consecutive year, the opening session of the Inter-American Division Executive Committee Mid-Year Meetings was broadcast live through the internet from the auditorium of IAD headquarters in Miami. Church administrators and leaders of the Division territory attended the May 17th program, which was themed “We Have a Bright Future.”

The featured guest speaker was Pastor George W. Brown, former IAD president. Brown delivered the spiritual message to the church leaders and staff members. He emphasized that the present day is the time to give our all for the cause, and challenged the assembled leaders to become “effective and Spirit-led, with a vision and purpose, with courage to conquer the giants of the land and become passionate God-pleasers just like Caleb of Biblical times.”

Internet viewers were able to hear a live teleconference with church representatives including pastors, young people, women and presidents of local fields of each of the 15 unions. During the teleconference, representatives reported on the strategies and progress of the church in four areas of growth of the church during the past year.

The program also included inspirational thoughts and special music by guest singer Wayne A. Harris from Trinidad.

The Mid-Year Meetings, one of two annual meetings at the IAD, will conclude Thursday, May 20th.
