On June 7, 2004, a warehouse and distribution center for vegetarian products made and distributed by Alimentos Colpac (Colpac  Foods) was inaugurated. Colpac Foods is the IAHFC branch with more sales and the leader in the production and distribution of texturized vegetable protein from soy in the northeastern region of Mexico.

The dedication of this facility was attended by local authorities and leaders of the Adventist Church, the target market to be the residents of the city of Nogales in Mexico. The neighboring city of Nogales, in Arizona, United States, will also be served by this distribution center.

Colpac Foods has served the Adventist Church in that area for many years, and with this new center increases its capabilities to serve and help its customers. Colpac Foods offers a variety of products made from texturized vegetable protein.

Texturized vegetable protein is a product that has been used for some time in the manufacturing of animal meat derivatives, such as hamburgers, sausages, bologna, and others.  Of equal importance is the consumption of this product in vegetarian food because of its rich and only source of nutrients such as proteins, vitamins and minerals.  It is also rich in elements which fight cancer and protect the human body against various types of this disease, according to numerous findings recently published, and comparisons with populations that widely consume soybean based foods.
