The delegates of the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s 58th Annual General Conference today re-elected Pastor Jan Paulsen as president for the Adventist World Church for an additional five-year term.

“It is a privilege to serve the Lord and the church and I appreciate your trust and i will try to do my best for the church,” said Pastor Paulsen. “The responsibility that you have assigned me is great but I rely on God’s company.”

He asked for the continued support and prayers for him and his wife so the Lord can guide him in his responsibilities.

Additional items on the General Conference agenda this afternoon include the election of secretary and treasurer of the world church. Later today, presidents of the 13 world divisions will be elected.
