November 25, 2006 – Alajuela, Costa Rica…[Libna Stevens/IAD]

Bilgai Abner Cruz from the Seventh-day Adventist territory of the Inter-Oceanic Mexican region was the grand prize winner in today’s grand finale competition of Inter-America’s third annual Youth Bible Bowl. Cruz was trailed by Sonia Reyes of the Mid-Central American Union who took the second place, and Mario Luis Herasme from the Dominican Union took the third spot.

The three top spots were followed by Natalie Cummings-Reid of the West Indies Union, Jose Freddy Moreno of the Colombian Union and Daniel Orozco Villalobos of the North Mexican Union.

All finalists traveled to Alajuela, Costa Rica to answer 40 questions on the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

Today’s final event was the culmination of territory-wide competitions which began in July.
