Miami, Florida…[Libna Stevens/IAD]

In the next four days, several choirs and band ensembles from across the Inter-American Division (IAD) will get a chance to participate in the region’s First Choir and Band Festival. The festival will be held at Central American Adventist University in Alajuela, Costa Rica, from Mar. 28-31.

Sponsored by the IAD Office of Education, the event, called “Reaching God Through Music”, seeks to integrate students from secondary school and university choirs and bands through song and music, says Moises Velazquez, education director for the church in Inter-America.

Choir and band members will get a chance to participate in seminars, workshops, and perform at designated sites in the community during the first three days of the event.

The festival will conclude with a special morning and afternoon program on Saturday, Mar. 31.
