Bucaramanga, Colombia…[Libna Stevens/IAD]

In the span of four hours nearly one million boxed dinners were distributed in thousands of poor communities during Inter-America's Day of Kindness and Compassion, held on Oct. 11, 2008. Tens of thousands of Seventh-day Adventist church member volunteers and regional Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) coordinators took part in the benevolent activity which reached the neediest people in the church territory from Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, French Antilles, Colombia and Venezuela.

The latest figures indicate that more than 800,000 meals were distributed throughout the territory, according to top organizers of the activity. The total number of people reached is expected to be available in the coming days.

More details on this activity will be posted soon. Visit us at www.interamerica.org for a full story coming soon.
