The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America will launch the first of several dialogue meetings between top church leaders and church members during a special live program on Nov. 1, 2008, from Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

The unscripted program, called Facing the Issues, will provide church members the opportunity to ask church leaders questions and express their concerns and needs regarding the church.

“We look forward to being able to relate to some of the issues that will be brought up by the members of the church to get the feel and the thinking of the church in the territory,” says Pastor Balvin Braham organizer and assistant to the Inter-American Division president.

Pastor Israel Leito, president of the church in Inter-America, will be the main host of the two-and-a-half hour dialogue session in Puerto Rico with some 34 laypeople and young church members from churches in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Cuba.

The first of six sessions, Facing the Issues, will be streamed live over the internet on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. (Daylight’s Saving Time or Miami Time).
