Dear Fellow Inter-Americans:

The year 2008 has seen many blessings for God's people. Our fidelity has made it possible for God's church to thrive in Inter-America.

Yes, we have had our tragedies with natural disasters affecting so many of our brethren throughout this Division and around the world. Even though we hurt for the loss of even one SDA life, nevertheless we praise God that such losses have remained at a minimum.

Your church, always mindful of your needs, has put a system in place to provide more help during these times of uncertainty and need.

As we look to 2009, with all its possibilities for upheavals and turmoil, we are assured that we are in His hands and He will protect and guide us. We will not fear, because we believe that He who has led us in the past will take us through any storm that the future may hold.

We want to reassure you, our dear brethren, of the love of the Lord, and of our constant prayers on your behalf. Let us continue to work together in unity of spirit for the advancement of this work to which we are all committed.

May you have a joyous holiday season and a blessed, prosperous and healthy 2009.

Maranatha!
