A focus group of Seventh-day Adventists from French Guiana, Guadeloupe, and Martinique will have the opportunity to talk to Inter-American Division (IAD) church leaders during the next Facing the Issues program on Saturday, June 27. The program will be broadcast live from Fort-de-France, Martinique, beginning at 4:00 PM.
The unscripted program, the fifth in a series of seven, will allow a special panel of 20 church members from the region to address Pastor Israel Leito, president of the IAD and main host, with questions and concerns on a range of church issues.
“This is our first Facing the Issues program in our French speaking region of the Division,” says Pastor Balvin Braham, associate ministerial director for the church Inter-America and organizer of the event
“Facing the Issues is a matter of leadership identifying with members in an intimate way in order to understand how effective the strategic organization presented by leaders is within the membership,” Braham says. “We want to grasp the vision members have in order to motivate greater effectiveness in terms of leadership planning.”
The program will consist of several sections where delegates will ask questions. The host will interact with the group by asking them questions, as well as the audience having the opportunity to ask their own questions. Both French and English will be spoken.
Online users from the French Antilles Guiana region will also have the opportunity to submit questions or suggestions by email.
The event will be streamed live over the internet from the Morija Seventh-day Day Adventist Church in Fort-de-France, Martinique on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight's Time (Martinique Time/Miami Time).
