May 16, 2010 – Miami, Florida, United States…[Libna Stevens/IAD]
Top Seventh-day Adventist church leaders from throughout Inter-America will meet for the church’s mid-year business meetings in Miami, Florida, May 18-20.
More than 100 church leaders will gather to make decisions on evangelism, educational strategies, initiatives and policies, and report on church growth, among other topics.
The meetings, which are the last executive committee meetings before the General Conference Session next month in Atlanta, Georgia, will set the pace for church growth in the vast Inter-American Division territory for the next five years.
Themed “More like Jesus”, the meetings will have a spiritual tone on the importance of leadership to continue their commitment in mirroring Christ’s character.
The business meetings will also include Inter-America’s Super Bible Bowl grand finale event on May 20, where each of the Bible bowl finalists from the last five years will participate for the top title.
Previous to the business meetings, church leaders have been participating in pre-meetings and board meetings of the church’s institutions.
