During a recent first-of-its-kind evangelistic effort, the vast Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mexico unified efforts throughout its four major regions to distribute more than one million copies of the book “Senales de Esperanza” (Signs of Hope).
In South Mexico alone, over 330,000 books were distributed.
Written by evangelist Alejandro Bullon, “Senales de Esperanza” alerts readers to the soon coming of Jesus. GEMA, one of Inter-America’s Publishing houses, printed the book. With subsidies by the four church regions in Mexico, the book was made available to members at an affordable prize to share with friends, co-workers, and neighbors.
Billboards, posters on bus stops and on vehicles, as well as radio and television spots, announced the massive distribution of the book which spanned several months throughout Mexico.
Flavio Alejo, a member of the Central Adventist Church from the Azteca Mission in Mexico City, says more than 500 church members as well as youth clubs distributed more than 2,600 of these books in several communities in Santa Maria La Ribera, Tabacalera, Polanco and Merced, on May 15.
With the results brought in by the activity, plans are underway for next year’s replica of the activity. More than 3 million samples of Mark Finley’s “When God Said Remember” are scheduled to be distributed throughout the country. The church in south Mexico alone plans to distribute over one million of the evangelistic book in its territory.
