Seventh-day Adventist schools throughout Guatemala joined hundreds of schools throughout the church in Inter-America to participate in Constant in Prayer revival initiative focused on educational institutions on Apr. 26.

Special prayer programs were held as dozens of schools put away their academic curriculum to pause for prayer revival and worship services.

In El Progreso Adventist School in Guatemala City, hundreds of students participated in a special tour on campus where different prayer stations covered with colorful signs, verses and prayer focus taught and reminded them anywhere is a good place to pray.

Three separate programs throughout the day brought primary, secondary and teachers and staff together for prayer, study of the Bible, prayer petitioning, music and drama presentations. During the program, two students were baptized.

In addition, students marched through the community stopping and praying for each school as they went.

“It was a blessed day of activities,” said Dinorah Rivera, children’s ministries director who traveled to Guatemala for the event. Rivera spoke to school-aged children on the importance of cultivating a prayerful life to build a closer relationship with Jesus.

Like in El Progreso school, similar Constant in Prayer programs were held throughout Guatemala.
