May 14, 2011 – Miami, Florida, United States…Libna Stevens/IAD

Top church leaders from throughout the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America will meet for the church’s mid-year business meetings at its headquarter office in Miami, Florida, May 16-19.

More than 100 executive committee members will gather to make decisions on institutional boards, evangelism, strategic issues, initiatives and policies, and report on church growth, among other topics.

The meetings, which are the first of two executive meetings held annually, will set the pace for church growth in the 21 church unions, or regions, in the vast Inter-American Division (IAD) territory for the next four years.

The business meetings will also include voting on upcoming revival and reformation programs and division-wide events. They will also honor dozens of retired union administrators for their service during a special program.

Previous to the business meetings, church leaders have been participating in pre-meetings. Institutional boards will hold their committees tomorrow.
