Seventh-day Adventist leaders from throughout the church in Inter-America will meet in Nassau, Bahamas, for the church’s second annual executive committee meetings. The meetings, which will take place on Oct. 30 through Nov. 2, 2011, are being hosted for the first time in The Bahamas.

Top leaders from each of the 21 major church regions are meeting to make decisions on evangelism strategies, education strategies, policies and initiatives among items that will shape the church during the coming years. Executive committee members will also visit local churches tomorrow and later report on the growth of the church from their regions at the Hillview Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Already, top church leaders were updated on the development and financial growth of the boards of its top institutional organizations during a full day of meetings in held yesterday in Miami, Florida.

Church leaders will also witness the inauguration of the newly constructed Atlantic Caribbean Union Mission (ACUM) headquarters in Nassau, as Pastor Israel Leito, president of the church in Inter-America will speak at the inaugural ceremony on Oct. 30. In addition to The Bahamas with its more than 17,000 church members, the ACUM also covers the church in the Cayman Islands and Turks and Caicos, totaling more than 6,000 church members.

Scheduled to attend the inauguration is Governor General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, His Excellency Sir Arthur A. Foulkes and the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, The Rt. Honourable Hubert A. Ingraham.
