The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America will officially launch its third phase of its comprehensive spiritual revival and reformation initiative next week. The event will gather hundreds of top church leaders from throughout the Inter-American Division (IAD) territory for a special live satellite program to be held in Mandeville, Jamaica, on Feb. 4, 2012.

The launch will feature Adventist World Church President Pastor Ted N.C. Wilson who will speak on the church’s appeal for revival for revival, reformation, discipleship and evangelism for each church member.

Coined as “That the World May Know”, phase three is an initiative which will seek to motivate church members active in spiritual revival to share the good news of salvation to the world. That the World May Know will include the launch of hundreds of evangelistic campaigns throughout the territory as well as discipleship training of one million members to fulfill the gospel commission through Vision One Million evangelism plan.

Already, several territory-wide activities have taken top church leaders from Inter-America’s 21 major church regions to publicly commit to developing the type of spiritual revival that can ignite the more than 3 million members to prepare others for the second advent of Jesus Christ.

“This third phase of our initiative will complete and consolidate the pillars of the spiritual life of the church in Inter-America: prayer, study of the Bible and testifying,” said Pastor Roberto Herrera, revival and reformation initiative coordinator for the church in Inter-America.

According to Pastor Herrera, the upcoming phase highlights the previous ones and confirms that “revival is not an emotionalism nor about preaching or about activities but it has to do with a real power that transforms the life of the church and is translated in human beings having access to salvation in Christ,” he said.

The launch of That the World May Know will be transmitted live via satellite on the Hope Church Channel, Esperanza TV, 3ABN, 3ABN Latino. The three-hour program will take place from the Northern Caribbean University Auditorium in Mandeville, Jamaica on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Jamaica Time or Miami Time.
