The Seventh-day Adventist Church is set to celebrate one of its biggest undertakings since 2011 when it will highlight the fruits of its discipleship training program across the church in Inter-America through a special live satellite program from Bogota, Colombia this weekend.
The initiative, coined as “Vision One Million”, has seen some one million church members trained and empowered to become true followers and witnesses of Jesus. Church leaders expect one million visitors to attend thousands of churches throughout Inter-America on Saturday, May 4, to view the satellite program and witness a worship and praise celebration of God’s love and mercy.
“We are excited to celebrate the work these passionate disciples who have enlisted in the great commitment to share the gospel in their communities,” says Pastor Balvin Braham, associate ministerial director for the church in Inter-America and one of the organizers of the event. “It is as simple as having one million members bring one visitor to church, yet one that has taken thousands of leaders and laypeople working together to orchestrate with the power of the Holy Spirit in this endeavor.”
Some 12,000 disciples have joined in efforts this week in Bogota, Colombia, as more than 200 evangelistic campaigns are taking place there led by local evangelists and dozens of evangelists from across Inter-America.
The three-hour satellite program will begin at 9:00 a.m. Bogota Time, or 10:00 a.m. Miami Time, and will be broadcast on Hope Church Channel, Esperanza TV and 3ABN Latino. The program will be carried in Spanish, English, and the French rebroadcast will air at 6:00 pm Miami Time.
The program will be highlighted by messages from Adventist world church and Inter-American leaders, music, worship program, community outreach activities, baptisms, testimonies, and more.
