The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America will hold an online evangelism summit for ministers across the territory, on Mar. 30-31, 2015. The live summit will be webcast from Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, in English, Spanish and French.

The summit will serve to strengthen the spirit of public evangelism among district pastors within the Division territory, organizers say.

“We want to energize district pastors and evangelists to effectively engage in more aggressive initiatives of soul-winning and member retention,” says Pastor Balvin Braham, associate ministerial director and organizer of the summit.

The two-day program is geared at helping ministers to give more careful attention to engaging the laity in evangelism, motivating evangelists to be more effective in making appeals and preparing effective evangelistic outcomes, explains Braham.

Seminars to be presented include: Mentoring the laity for evangelism, how to win and keep members, church planting in the city, evangelistic music, evangelizing cross culturally, connecting with your congregants, the altar and the pulpit, and more.

The summit comes days before the church in Inter-America seals its comprehensive evangelistic initiative called Vision One Million—reaching one million new members during the 2010-2015 five-year period, on April 4, 2015.
