Top Seventh-day Adventist leaders in the Inter-American Division (IAD) are interested in talking to hundreds of theology students and non-ordained ministers during special webcasts next week.

The online events will take place from the IAD headquarter office in Miami, Florida, on April 28 and April 29, at 10:30 a.m. Miami time through Inter-America’s webcast channel

“We want to assure our upcoming pastors of their role and the realities of how the church in Inter-America moves and grows,” says Pastor Hector Sanchez, ministerial secretary for the church in Inter-America.

Students completing their seminary courses and those needing one more year to complete seminary will get to hear church leaders talk about their calling, the mission of the church, and have the opportunity to submit questions during a special forum which will be carried during the Apr. 28 online program.

Similarly, top church leaders want to encourage some of its 1,500 ministers who are still pending ordination to continue their commitment of shepherding congregations and work toward getting ordained for greater effectiveness in their ministry, says Sanchez.

“There are a number of prerequisites that ministers must accomplish before ordination takes place and we want to ensure that the vision of the church in Inter-America is clear on their minds,” explains Sanchez.

The online program on Apr. 29 will also serve to urge administrators overseeing ministers to take account of their ministerial body, evaluate their work and assist them in their steps towards ordination, Pastor Sanchez says.

Tune in to watch the two-hour live events carried in English, Spanish and French at webcast.interamerica.org  on Apr. 28 and 29 starting at 10:30a.m. Miami Time.
