The Seventh-day Adventist Church will officially launch its five-year territory-wide evangelistic initiative called “Lord Transform Me” during a satellite event on April 16, 2016, from one of its largest city across the Inter-American Division (IAD) territory, in Caracas, Venezuela.
Top church leaders will highlight the results of evangelism efforts driven by thousands of pastors and active church members during the last three months as well as intensive community outreach done in Caracas.
Adventist World Church President Pastor Ted N.C. Wilson will be the keynote speaker during the satellite event where more than 20,000 church members and visitors will gather in Caracas.
According to Pastor Balvin Braham, assistant to the IAD president for evangelism and main organizer of the event, some 800 evangelistic campaigns have been running in the large city and the rest of the East Venezuela Union, or region.
“This official launch of the program from Caracas signals the importance of evangelizing large cities within the calculation of the leaders of the church in the IAD,” said Braham.
The “Lord Transform Me” initiative is a collaborative effort of all the ministries of the church in the IAD territory, said Braham. “It’s like an umbrella program where every spiritual initiative and church activity to strengthen the local church and its surrounding community,” added Braham.
Already, church leaders have been training pastors and laypersons in embracing the Lord Transform Me initiative preparing for the territory-wide launch in local churches for weeks and months this year.
