The celebration will gather more than 18,000 church members at the Estadio Universitario de Caracas (Caracas University Stadium) to witness the baptism of more than 4,000 new members. Leaders and church members will also take time to pray for the country and show their commitment to caring and spreading hope in the large city.

“Nothing’s ever been organized this big in Caracas before, and in Venezuela for that matter” said Pastor Josney Rodriguez, president of the church in East Venezuela region. “Our ministers and lay members have doubled their efforts to share the gospel to those around them.”

So far, more than 200 evangelistic campaigns have been running this week across churches in the populated city thanks to the efforts of some 900 small groups ministering in their communities, said Pastor Balvin Braham, assistant to the IAD president for evangelism and main organizer of the event.

The three-hour satellite event will be carried on the Hope Church Cannel from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  (Miami Time), and will serve as an official launch of the evangelism theme that will officially take off across Inter-America’s territory.

Adventist World Church President Pastor Ted N.C. Wilson will be the special keynote speaker during the satellite event. Pastor Wilson will be accompanied by top church leaders of the Inter-American Division and top local church leaders.
