The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America will launch important initiatives and activities that will highlight the essential role children, adolescents and women play in the mission of the church. The launch will take place during a live streaming program from Feb. 10-12, 2019.

The event will gather children and adolescents ministries leaders and women’s ministries directors from across unions and local conferences and missions throughout the territory for the three-day training session in Miami, Florida, United States.

Dinorah Rivera, children and adolescents ministries and women’s ministries director for the church in Inter-America, says the year has been designated as the Year of the Women in the Mission and that entails evangelism in action.

“One of the most effective evangelistic programs we have in the children and adolescent ministries is Vacation Bible School, or what we have renamed as Vacation Bible Experience, where children can experience the love of God and the transformation of their lives in Jesus,” said Rivera.

Delegates to the event will get training and resources to this year’s Vacation Bible Experience which will reinforce God as the creator of all and the one that gives each child purpose.

Women’s Ministry leaders will also reaffirm their role and service in the church and in the community during a full day of seminar presentations. The program will strengthen and reach the woman who is in the church, her value in serving the church and her mission to reach other women in the community, explained Rivera.

“When women find their purpose, they can be used by the church with greater strength because she experiences that love and power through Jesus,” said Rivera.

The online program will be carried in Spanish, English and French, at webcast.interamerica.org on the following schedule, Miami Time:

Sunday, February 10 – 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Monday, February 11 – 8:00 a.m. to 12noon; 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday, February 12 – 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
