Top Seventh-day Adventist leaders in the Inter-American Division will unveil their ‘I Will Go’ strategic evangelism initiative during a special online event on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020. The online program is expected to draw administrators, pastors, ministry leaders and church members and inspire them to embrace the initiative, which will be in place across the territory over the next five years.

“We have a mission that cannot wait because time is short and we just act fast to fulfill the mission we have at hand,” says Pastor Elie Henry, president of the church in Inter-America. Pastor Henry, along with his departmental aids and the 24 union administration leaders, have been working on shaping up the Inter-America’s version of the global Adventist Church’s “I Will Go” initiative, which is a call to personal involvement in the mission of the church, for almost two years now.

The online launch comes a few days before the church’s executive committee in Inter-America plans to approve the final version of the initiative during its year-end annual business meetings.

It’s important for leaders and members of churches, local fields, institutions, unions and the division office to tune in to receive clarity, direction and focus as the priorities of the church in the territory will be communicated to everyone, says Pastor Balvin Braham, assistant to the IAD president for evangelism.  “The strategic direction needs of the IAD and the actions to be taken in order to fulfill the mission are of utmost importance to achieve the goals which are clearly embedded to fulfill our mandate as God’s Remnant Church,” he says.

The two-hour program will feature an overview of the principal strategic issues of the IAD – evangelism, education, and community outreach – which will require the collaboration of every level of the church to address, says Braham.
