Inter-America’s women’s ministries department wants to encourage thousands of women across the church, during an online event, to be passionate about mission and continue their dedicated service in their communities as the world church engages in the I Will Go mission initiative for the next five years. The special two-day online event will be held on Nov. 20-21, 2020, and is intended to provide a window of spiritual nourishment, praise and worship, fellowship, and a celebration of this year’s completed certification program.

“As we started this year with the stress and uncertainty that the pandemic has brought on, we felt that it was vital to finish the year letting the church know that women continue with the same love, compassion and objectives to share the message of truth wherever they go,” said Dinorah Rivera, women’s ministries director for the church in Inter-America. “Women churches and congregations haven’t stopped from nurturing, empowering and reaching others for Jesus since the start of the year.”

The launch of the online event, coined as a congress, will encourage so many women’s ministries leaders in the IAD to be united and motivated to respond to the challenge to God and tell the world about Jesus’s return through the I Will Go Inter-America mission initiative, said Rivera. “We want everyone to be assured that we can accomplish the mission because the power of God will go with us,” she said.

Special guest speakers will include Adventist World Church President Pastor Ted N.C. Wilson, Heather Small, women’s ministries director of the Adventist World Church and Raquel Arrais, associate director for the Adventist world church, among others. The program will include music, drama, short spiritual sessions, and more.

The congress, themed “I Will Go”, will begin with a vespers program on Friday, Nov. 20, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., continue on Sabbath, Nov. 21, from 10:00 to 12:30 p.m., and end with a certification program celebration from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Miami Time.  The program will be featured in English, Spanish and French at webcast.interamerica.org
