The Seventh-day Adventist Church throughout the Inter-American Division (IAD) will mobilize thousands of its Adventist students who study in public campuses and young professionals during a special weekend event coined as Public Campus Ministries (PCM) Weekend, October 17-19, 2021.

The annual weekend event aims to connect and involve students, academic and professionals in mission and service in their universities, home churches, and communities. It is the first time such joint event is organized by PCM Ministries around the world church.

This year’s theme “Many Hands, One Community” will see university students and professionals engage in impacting specific projects on their campuses and their communities during the weekend. The three-day event will also provide opportunity for worship, keynote presentations and networking opportunities for the thousands across campuses in Inter-America, organizers said.

“We are excited to see our large group of university students and young professionals take part in this specially designed weekend for them,” said Pastor Hiram Ruiz, PCM director for the church in Inter-America.  It’s all part of keeping close to students engaged in making a difference in their campuses by living a life that follows the example of Jesus, said Ruiz. “They are always reminded of the important role they play in serving the community and sharing the gospel wherever they are.”

The event will see, music, testimonies, round table discussions, and launch of new initiatives during an live online event from Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, on Sabbath, Oct. 16, 2021, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Miami Time) and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Miami Time)
