Hello, Happy Sabbath
Today we are wrapping up Christian Home and Marriage Week, which focuses on the theme of resilience.
We hear of many miracles these days. We are inspired by new ideas, we strengthen our relationships as married couples, as parents, children, grandparents, uncles, and we receive many blessings knowing that God provides us with that special resource to move forward, especially in these challenging times. And I am sure that we have been drawing closer to God.
In this context, I want to share a couple of verses that go with the recent subjects we have been studying and that fit well as we also highlight Elder’s Family Emphasis Day which we celebrate today throughout Inter-America. Verses 23 and 24 of Psalms 37 says:
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with His hand.”
What an encouraging promise! The church elder in his or her work supporting the ministry of the pastor by caring for the church, spending time nurturing members and new members, is also vulnerable to the attacks from the enemy; but by cultivating a daily relationship with God, is held and sustained by His hand.
Today, I invite you to think about the church elders and their families. Take a moment to pray for them. Take a moment to show them gratitude and appreciation for their ministry and leadership in your church. Let them know you are praying and don’t forget they need the support of the church family as well.
Thank you very much to the thousands of men and women who faithfully serve as church elders across Inter-America. May God bless you all.
