Below is a transcript of a message addressed to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America from President of the Inter-American Division, Elie Henry–IAD News Staff

April 29, 2022 | Miami, Florida, United States | By: Elie Henry, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America

Hello, Happy Sabbath.

I greet you on this last day of April, with joy and gratitude to God for so many blessings.

Just a couple of weeks ago I was telling you about the evangelism caravan series throughout  7 countries in Inter-America. Subsequently, the regional campaign of the French speaking   territory hosted from Pétion-Ville, Haiti ended with great success.

And today we are closing the evangelistic campaign entitled, “Hope for a Sick World” targeting the Colombia, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and Cuba Unions. We hear from thousands who are attending through small groups and churches, but also through radio, television and the internet. Pray that many may give their lives to Christ.

I also share with you that this coming week the Inter-American Division’s Mid-Year Meetings will be held. In these meetings, reports are presented and votes are taken on events and initiatives that will be implemented in the coming months, both in the unions and the institutions of our Division. It is for this reason that I invite you to join in prayer for these activities, as well as for the plans for the church’s General Conference Session, which is scheduled for June.

Without a doubt, prayer can make a difference. Ellen White says that “If we would accomplish the great work before us, it is essential that we present to God fervent and effectual prayer; for it availeth much.” And she adds that if we come together with one accord, in fervent prayer, those prayers would prove effectual.”

Let’s keep each church activity in prayer in the coming weeks. Let us not forget that the Lord has assured us in Matthew 18:20, that For where two or three are gathered together in My  name, I am there in the midst of them.

May the Lord bless each one of you.
