Hello! Happy Sabbath!

As we begin this month of March, a month associated with  the arrival of spring in some places, the change in weather and the pleasant colors in nature, the Inter-American Division is celebrating  a month of much prayer.

This is part of our emphasis for church members to return to the altar with God, wherever we are and in whatever we do.

In the midst of the world’s problems, Jesus invites us to draw closer to Him. He welcomes us, listens to us, speaks to us, and blesses us so that we may continue on the path in the company of His presence.

With this invitation in mind, Ellen White recommends: “When He brings His people into strait places, then it is their privilege to assemble together for prayer, remembering that all things come of God.” (Pr 16.3)

This Sabbath, March 4, has been designated by the Women’s Ministries Department as a worldwide  Sabbath of Prayer, with the theme, “Transformed by Prayer.” Following that, from March 6-12, a week of prayer will be celebrated in the K through 12 Educational Institutions, and Wednesday, March 8, is a special day for the education ministries in our church.

We can all join in this effort: Let us pray with the women and for them; Pray for our teachers and students; pray for parents and their families, just as the Apostles prayed for the new believers of Samaria, according to Acts 8:15, “When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit.”

We count on your prayers. Maranatha!
