The Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Inter-American Division (IAD) will be celebrating Literature Evangelist Day during an online event on Apr. 15, 2023.

The event, which will be hosted from Puebla, Mexico, will highlight the importance of the work that literature evangelists do to spread the message of the gospel. The event will feature spiritual message sand seminars, and provide available resources and more, organizers said.

“Literature evangelists are our ‘messengers of hope’ and among the first to be at the forefront of battle with people who are mostly unknown to the church, and are the first to sow the message of truth through publications,” said Pastor Isaias Espinoza, publishing ministries director of the IAD. “We are delighted to have this special day as an official Literature Evangelists Day voted by the church’s executive committee in May 2022.”

It’s important to recognize that literature evangelist are special agents that carry out the mission, that other members understand what they do and invite others to become literature evangelists as well, explained Espinoza.

Themed Messengers of Hope, the event is “a unique opportunity to bring literature evangelists and church members to come together so both can complement and help each other in mission,” said Espinoza.

The live event will be carried in Spanish, English and French and will be carried live 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. Central Mexico Time, or 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Miami Time, at webcast.interamerica.org
