Seventh-day Adventist evangelistic meetings in Prague, Czech Republic, continue as guest speaker Ted N. C. Wilson delves into what the Bible reveals about the future of humanity. Meetings began on May 12 at the Společenské centrum Bethany (Bethany Social Center) and are scheduled to close on May 26.
Several people attending have already expressed their desire to be baptized at the end of the series, Wilson shared. “A number of attendees indicated they want to be baptized, and this was only the third night of the evangelistic series!” he wrote after the May 14 meeting. “More people will make decisions for baptism, by God’s grace. We praise God for His goodness. What a privilege to serve the Lord and see Him work!”

Wilson’s wife, Nancy, has begun several of the evangelistic meetings with health-related information and tips. Nancy, a trained physical therapist, discussed revealing research findings on the importance of rest and physical activity, among other topics.

On May 16, the Wilsons visited the Elijah Adventist School, which includes an elementary and a growing secondary school. “It is a wonderful church school that points people to Jesus,” Ted Wilson shared after the visit. “I spoke, in separate meetings, to the faculty, to the very young students, to middle school students, and to secondary school students,” he wrote.

On the same day, the Wilsons also visited the headquarters of the Czecho-Slovakian Union Conference, which oversees the Adventist work in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Wilsons met with the union administration and the three conference presidents. They also toured the church sanctuary connected to the Union office.
“Please pray for Prague!” Wilson wrote in a post addressed to Adventist church members around the world. “And please pray for the Christ for Europe initiative!”
