Hello brothers and sisters.

I am happy to greet you once again on this last Sabbath of the month of September, when we celebrate baptisms of multiple ministries of the church throughout Inter-America.

The departments and ministries of the church play a vital role in our mission. Planning and coordinating initiatives provide opportunities for members to further utilize their gifts and talents, to become involved in the life of the church, and to work together in different areas of interest. Additionally, they offer training and discipleship opportunities for all.

During the month of October that is about to begin, certifications, workshops, talks, and other events will be held, in which you can participate and for which you can pray.

By looking in the Bible at the example of the first Christian community in Antioch, we see the importance of teaching and fellowship in the life of the church. Acts 11:26 states, “So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people.” (NIV)

Just as the first disciples gathered and spent time teaching and learning together for a year, we too must prioritize physical, mental, and spiritual edification.

May our bond and devotion to the Lord be the basis of our identity as Seventh-day Adventists.

Maranatha!
