The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is working with Adventist Community Services (ACS) to assist victims of Hurricane Helene in recovery efforts across the United States.
ADRA has granted US$150,000 to ACS to support relief efforts in areas such as Asheville, North Carolina, Georgia, and other severely affected regions. This collaboration aims to expand operations and provide much-needed emergency assistance to those impacted by the hurricane.
“Countless families are struggling to recover from these tragic disasters, and by partnering with Adventist Community Services, we can reach many more people in need,” said Imad Madanat, ADRA’s International vice president for humanitarian affairs. “As a global humanitarian agency that responds to an average of two disasters each week, we understand the critical importance of providing timely access to recovery resources. We are committed to supporting ACS during this challenging time to help communities across the United States.”

“It is during these crucial times that the power of collaboration creates a greater force for good,” said W. Derrick Lea, ACS executive director for the North American Division. “ACS is actively responding to the needs of those affected by these storms, and our partnership with ADRA brings invaluable support to ensure our distribution centers can provide essential items for recovery.”
Donations to support hurricane victims can be a beacon of hope and healing for communities in need, ADRA leaders said. “Together with ADRA and ACS, you can make a profound difference in the lives of those affected. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps rebuild lives and restore hope… Together, we can help communities rise again.”
