From October 13 to 19, experts leading Ellen G. White Research Centers across the Inter-American Division (IAD) universities will speak during a special week of prayer focusing on the Spirit of Prophecy writings and their importance during the last day events. The initiative follows the General Conference’s special emphasis during the month of October.

This year, for the first time, IAD leaders have arranged for daily messages every evening  during a week themed “Believe His Promises” to bring church leaders and members more insight into the writings shared by Ellen G. White, a co-founder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

“The special week is intended to provide insight to the church membership with a fundamental belief which is found in the Spirit of Prophecy writings,” said Pastor Isaías Espinoza, publishing ministries director overseeing Spirit of Prophecy in the IAD. “We want to build more trust in the writings of Ellen G. White among local church leaders and pastors as well as active church members,” he said.

The General Conference through the White Estate shares an annual Sabbath program to promote the annual emphasis day, this year on Oct. 19, available on this link HERE

“It is important to have more resources and tools available so leaders can address questions that may come up and may be difficult to answer without further access to information,” explained Espinoza.

At the end the week’s emphasis, the IAD is collaborating to hold a Spirit of Prophecy Symposium from the campus of he Northern Caribbean University in Mandeville, Jamaica, Oct. 18-19, 2024.
