Hello, friends. We read in Psalm 92:1 that “It is good to give thanks for the Lord” (NKJV), and as we come to this time of year, here in the United States we will be celebrating a special holiday called Thanksgiving.

This is a wonderful time when families and friends come together, enjoy a special meal, and give thanks to God for the many blessings He has bestowed.

Nancy and I are looking forward to having our family with us this year for Thanksgiving. Our home will be very lively with our energetic grandchildren bringing the place to life!

And I would like to take this opportunity, to thank you, our worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church family, for your commitment and faithfulness to the Lord. Nancy and I have had the privilege of meeting many of you as we travel to various places. We have seen your hard work and dedication, your care in lifting the burdens of others, and your eagerness to share God’s end-time message of hope with as many as possible.

In the spirit of thanksgiving, I would like to echo the words of the Apostle Paul to the believers in Philippi. He wrote:

“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:3-6, NKJV).

He then goes on to say, “And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God” (vss. 9-11, NKJV).

And this is my prayer for you, too, dear brothers and sisters in Christ. May the Lord continue to bless and keep you as we move forward together in Total Member Involvement, saying “Yes, Lord, I Will Go” in Your power, to reach the world for You!

Jesus is coming soon, dear friends! Maranatha!
