Ongeira was excited to be a Global Mission pioneer—a missionary who is dedicated to reach people for Jesus and to plant Adventist churches in previously unreached territories.

However, when he arrived in his area of Arua, Uganda, Ongeira faced numerous challenges. Many people he interacted with believed that Adventism was a false religion, and those who seemed interested in learning more soon lost interest. The work was difficult and after a while Ongeira became discouraged, doubting whether anything good could come from his experience.

But the Lord had not forgotten him. Just when Ongeira was ready to give up, he met a man who had many questions about the Adventist message. Ongeira patiently explained his faith and started studying the Bible with the man. The man was happily surprised at what he was learning and eventually accepted Christ and the full Bible message.

Soon, he was helping Ongeira spread the message and addressed the skeptics’ doubts. With his help, the community’s attitude toward Ongeira improved. What seemed impossible became hopeful.

Friends, even when circumstances seem difficult, let us never give up sharing our faith. Jesus has promised, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matt. 28:18-20, NKJV).

Now is the time for Global Total Member Involvement! Jesus is coming soon!
