Below is a message addressed to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America from President of the Inter-American Division, Elie Henry–IAD News Staff.
Hello, Brothers and Sisters, Happy Sabbath.
I’m so glad to greet you on this tenth day of the Ten Days of Prayer. This wonderful initiative brings us together as an Adventist family worldwide, offering us a unique opportunity to renew our commitment to God and to our mission.
During these 10 days, through our personal prayers, whether at home or in church with our brothers and sisters, we have felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit to draw closer to the Lord and depend on His guidance in every area of our lives. However, I want to emphasize that this program is not meant to limit us to praying only during these first days of the year. Instead, it’s an invitation for us to live every moment and every day of the year, fervently and consistently seeking His presence.
In this regard, I want to share with you the Bible verse that we in the Inter-American Division have adopted as the foundation of our strategic plan for this 2025. It’s found in Matthew 28:19-20, where Jesus says:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Can you see it? This verse is not only a command but also a promise: Jesus will be with us every step of the way! So this year, prayer must be the foundation that sustains all our service in mission. Every family is called to take the gospel to the communities, to the cities, and to every heart. That’s why we must make our homes altars of prayer and beacons of light.
Let’s make 2025 a year of prayer, allowing the Holy Spirit to take control. We will witness miracles and transformations that only He can accomplish.
Maranatha!
