A new Vacation Bible Experience (VBE) program will be unveiled during an online session on Sunday, February 23, 2025. The event will feature songs, Bible lessons, activities, and resources, all centered around a theme designed to assist thousands of children and adolescent ministry leaders across Seventh-day Adventist congregations and schools, who are eager to prepare for this year’s program.

The Inter-American Division’s VBE program is the church’s annual event, typically held during off-school months. Its mission is to reaffirm Bible principles and values to more than 300,000 children and adolescents across the territory.

“At the center of the lessons will be Jesus and His wondrous loving care,” said Edith Ruiz, Children’s and Adolescent Ministries Director of the IAD, and creator of the VBE program. “Everything about the VBE will highlight key Bible stories and teach children how they, too, can bask in the peace, love, and hope that Jesus offers,” she added.

The excitement surrounding this year’s VBE is no different from previous years, Ruiz said. “It brings me great joy to be part of a Bible-teaching initiative that blesses so many children facing all kinds of challenges in this broken world.” Many children participating in the VBE will be stepping into a church for the first time, she explained. “This is an incredible evangelistic program that tugs at their hearts and draws their families too.”

Union and regional directors took part in the filming of this year’s program ahead of the online launch to learn, understand, and plan how to introduce the new VBE program to local church leaders. Over 70 children’s ministry leaders from nearly all of the 25 unions across the IAD participated in the training.

The new VBE program will be explained step-by-step during the online segment, which will be offered in English, Spanish, and French, on February 23, 2025, at 10 a.m. Miami Time, at webcast.interamerica.org.
