Hello dear Inter-American family, I invite you to open your Bible with me.
In the Gospel of Mark, chapter 6, verse 34: We read, “When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things..”
In the Inter-American Division, we have plans and strategies to fulfill the mission God has entrusted to us. These strategies are vital projections to keep us moving forward together. But you know what? The mission doesn’t begin with these programs or documents; the mission begins with a willing heart.
Jesus taught and healed because He understood that people needed hope and restoration. Following His example, we too are called to serve—on one hand through education, and on the other through healing.
We all have gifts and talents. Some preach, others sing, recite, visit the sick, or support their neighbors. Every act of kindness is a key part of the mission.
To everyone work has been allotted…(Review and Herald, December 12, 1893)
Today, as members of this wonderful Inter-American family, I extend a clear invitation: for every person—child, youth, and adult—to get involved in service. For every family to participate in the mission, for every church to become a beacon of light, and for every institution to develop plans to be relevant in the community. Let’s tell the world: “Christ lives, and He loves you.”
Let us keep moving forward together, living the mission, united under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, so that the world may know that He has sent us.
