The Inter-American Division (IAD) will launch a new territory-wide digital training initiative for women beginning Feb. 8, aimed at equipping participants to use creativity and digital tools to share their faith in today’s online world.
Titled “Creative Disciples,” the 10-week online series will be held Sundays at 11:00 a.m. (Miami time) through April 12, and is a collaborative effort between the IAD women’s ministries and the communication departments.
Sandra Pinto, women’s ministries director for the IAD, said the initiative responds to Christ’s call to make disciples while recognizing the changing ways people connect and communicate.
“This training was created for women who love God and are ready to share His gospel and His love in ways that truly connect in today’s world,” said Pinto. “We are not just learning, we are activating our gifts and talents in service to God.”
The weekly sessions will feature communication professionals from across the IAD and the world church, who will provide short, practical presentations focused on using accessible digital tools, including smartphones, social media platforms, and messaging apps. Each session will conclude with a weekly challenge designed to help participants immediately apply what they learn in real-life ministry settings.
Pinto described the program as a journey rather than a single event.
“This is not an isolated activity,” Pinto said. “It is the beginning of a 10-week journey where we will grow together, learn together, and allow God to use our creativity and commitment to impact lives for His glory.”
Training Women to Lead Digital Evangelism
Abel Márquez, communication director for the IAD, said the project reflects a growing emphasis on collaboration between departments as part of the IAD’s strategic plan.
“Following the Division’s strategic plan, we are now working more closely as departments, and this was an initiative of women’s ministries to partner together to train women across Inter-America to use social media and available technologies for evangelism,” Márquez said.
He explained that the format was intentionally designed to be simple, accessible, and action-oriented.
“These are not long seminars you could find anywhere online,” said Márquez. “They are short capsules with practical ideas that can be implemented using simple technology, even with a basic phone, social media, or WhatsApp groups.”
The training is open to all and does not require registration, allowing broad participation across the territory.
“We didn’t want a closed platform,” Márquez said. “This is open to everyone. Women are the majority of church members, and when women mobilize, the church moves.”
Preparing for Territory-Wide Mission Initiatives
Leaders also emphasized that the initiative is part of a larger preparation strategy for upcoming evangelistic efforts.
“All the initiatives of 2026 are about preparing the church to live the mission, beginning with OneVoice27, which will be a milestone in communication worldwide,” Márquez said. “This time it won’t be about one technology, but about using every possible tool to share the gospel.”
Pinto echoed that vision, encouraging women to see their creativity as a mission tool.
“God wants to use their voice, their ideas, and their creativity to bring hope,” she said. “This space is for women who want to serve God with what He has already placed in their hands.”
Sessions will include topics such as “Connected Woman,” focusing on building meaningful digital relationships; “Stories That Transform,” highlighting the power of storytelling for mission; and “From Click to Message,” which explores how online engagement can lead to spiritual conversations.
The weekly training sessions will stream online at webcast.interamerica.org in English and Spanish beginning Sunday, Feb. 8, at 11:00 a.m. (Miami time), and will continue for 10 consecutive Sundays through April 12.
Church leaders are encouraging women across the territory to participate and invite others, emphasizing that the series is designed not only to inform, but to mobilize women for active discipleship and digital mission.
Organizers say the goal is for every participant to leave equipped, confident, and ready to use her voice, creativity, and influence to share hope in practical ways.
