Hundreds of Seventh-day Adventist business owners and professionals across the Inter-American Division (IAD) will have the opportunity this Sabbath, June 18, to reaffirm their commitment of sharing Christ in their businesses and invite other professionals to join in support of the mission of the church.

The Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI) Emphasis Day in Inter-America will provide guidance and support for ASI members to reach their chapter goals as they preach the gospel in their project ministries where they live.

The special emphasis day will also point to Inter-America’s 15th Annual ASI Convention, which is expected to draw hundreds of Adventist professionals and church leaders in Medellin, Colombia, August 17-20, 2016.

Themed “Connected, Empowered, and Transformed,” the four-day convention will hit at the heart of ASI and its purpose and include a joint event that will gather Adventist lawyers across the IAD territory as well, said Pastor Leon B. Wellington, IAD vice president and secretary of ASI Inter-America.

Adventist lawyers will take part in a forum to highlight, discuss and formulate solutions to contemporary issues and challenges affecting the Adventist Church, said Wellington. “We want to work all together to find avenues to make a positive difference in the church and the public arena,” Wellington said.

The two events will begin together and then break out in sessions.
