Joel Zukovski – IAHFC
Granix Foods is the newest branch member of the Inter-American Health Foods Company (IAHFC). Founded in 1974, it provides excellent service to the university community of the UNAV in Bonao, Dominican Republic as well as the local community.
With a mission to make a positive contribution to the nutritional needs of the Dominican people, Granix Foods continues to produce and sell whole grain breads and special crackers. It has been working within the grounds of the University in an establishment of its own. Now, in a joint effort between IAHFC and the Dominican Union, Granix Foods is transferring its bakery facilities to a location next to the state highway that connects to Santo Domingo to the north of the island (Duarte Freeway).
With the name of Granix Plaza, the present building is being expanded to accommodate the new bakery facility that for many years has offered its services to travelers that pass through this important access road in the Dominican Republic. In addition to the mini-supermarket that is already working, there will be an array of whole grain breads and specialties for sale.
Mr. Simón David Bolivar, present manager or Granix Products, is excited about the extension project and relocation of the bakery to this important retail center. The tradition will be maintained and Granix Foods will continue providing their excellent products.
