Punta Cana, Dominican Republic…[Libna Stevens/IAD]

Hundreds of district pastors from throughout the church in Inter-America are scheduled to meet in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, for the first ever territory-wide ministerial summit. The summit, which will gather over 700 people, including district pastors and their spouses, church leaders and administrators, is set to take place Apr. 30 to May 3, 2008.

“This summit is not only to share seminars and subjects to confirm the pastor’s calling,” says Pastor Hector Sanchez, ministerial association director for the church in Inter-America and organizer of the event, “but a gathering where they can have re-encounter with the pastoral identity that we feel has been loss somewhat throughout the years.”

The summit will feature guest speakers from the Adventist World Church and experts on a series of subjects who will present messages geared to the ministers and their spouses representing churches throughout in Inter-America.
