A Victor Dixon Adventist High School student recently achieved the highest score in the Parish of Manchester and all other Adventist schools in Jamaica in the Caribbean Examination Council's (CXC) national test.

For his efforts, 17-year-old Chevaunne Sinclair was presented an academic achievement award Nov. 22 at the Adventist church's West Indies headquarters, plus a partial scholarship to Adventist-owned Northern Caribbean University in Mandeville.

“I give all the glory and praise to God who gave me the ability to reach this academic milestone,” said Sinclair, who will study biology at the university. He said he is grateful and appreciative for the invaluable support of his parents, teachers, mentors, and friends.

Sinclair excelled with seven distinctions and four credits in biology, chemistry, mathematics, English, English literature, Spanish, information technology, food and nutrition, physics, principles of business and human and social biology. The results came as he completed his senior year of high school recently.
